Can We Select “Better” Residents?

Publish a journal article; OK. They fill journals with articles that do nothing for medicine but only add a line to a CV. A nice article that I found while writing this made the point that many of the characteristics that are rewarded in our selection process make for unhappy learners and doctors. Get straight A’s; done.
