From the beginning they learn how to take a history, do a physicalexam. So once we invite them, then they schedule their own online. They pick from one of the open dates, they schedule themselves, and then, on the interview day, we have a very structured process, and it’s very consistent from one applicant to another.
So, biochemistry, anatomy, organ systems, how to interview a patient, how to do a physicalexam, all those types of things. And so for instance, you might be scheduled to be in surgery on Tuesdays with the same preceptor each week and a pediatrics clinic on Wednesday afternoons, for instance.
A simple Google search is a good way to start: "emergency medicine conferences 2025" Make a list or add them to a table. Include the date, and what rotation you're on in residency, which is important for scheduling. Classically, it'll be: history of present illness, physicalexam, workup (pertinent labs, imaging, etc.)
