The Trial STRONG-HF studied two treatment strategies after a patient was discharged from the hospital after treatment for heart failure. Actual cardiologists performed these visits, which included up-titration of meds, but, also, as Adam correctly notes, patients had MD-level assessments. Here were the results.

In October 2022 , the USPSTF recommended childhood anxiety screening starting at eight years old. The USPSTF claims "screening interventions" decrease the prevalence of depression at six-month follow-up by an odds ratio of 0.60. But in the real world, not everyone who screens positive for depression ends up in therapy.

Amidst bullish forecasts for the promise of hospital-to-home discharges, the ability for many patients to make this migration would be a difficult bridge to cross. Patients who reported at least one SDoH concern were less likely to complete a physician follow-up visit post-discharge than patients who reported no SDOH concerns.
